The nice thing about having extended family is that they might have a great vantage point to watch the biggest stadium fireworks show in the country...

As usual, the Stadium of Fire was awesome. Last year was Miley Cyrus, this year was the Jonas Brothers (and someone called She*daisy, but I have never heard of her before). The show was really great. One of the highlights was that they retired the giant flag that they have been using for 13 years. When it was made, the lady intended it to be used for only one year. It was such a big hit from the point of unveiling on that they decided to keep using it. It's about 150 feet long or something like that––a huge flag. They hung it from one of the buildings in Salt Lake after 9-11. Anyway, tonight they suspended it between two cranes and just let it blow in the wind. Quite the impressive sight. Then, after they were halfway done with the fireworks, they retired the flag. Watching how they retire a flag that big was really interesting. They tied it up into a long bundle, then put it into this urn looking thing. Once it was all in, they closed off part of it and dropped the match in the top. I wish that I could have been in the stadium to get a really good picture of it. They'll probably post a picture in the paper tomorrow or something like that.
